A carbon fiber-reinforced polymer material based on PET is called Raise3D Industrial PET CF. (Polyethylene terephthalate). The rigidity, strength, heat, and chemical resilience of the PET material are improved by evenly distributed 15-weight percent carbon fibers. After cooling, PET CF achieves a tensile stiffness and strength of more than 6 GPa and 80 MPa, respectively, and stabilizes its heat resistance at a temperature of about 150 oC. Due to its superior printability, dimensional stability, high creep resistance, and low moisture absorption compared to carbon fiber-reinforced Nylon filament, PET CF is the best material to use when printing carbon fiber composites for durable and economical end uses, such as jigs, fixtures, and functional parts.
